Who may compete:
a) Age Limits: Competitors who have reached their 18th birthday or are a graduate of high school, class of 2011 and those younger are eligible. If there is enough participants(10 or more) who are 12 and under, we will open another special age group for them and recognize the top three in this group.
Age Group 1
Competitors who reach their 17th or 18th birthday in the calendar year of the competition or who are older than 18 and still meet the eligibility criteria for School Age competitors.
Age Group 2
Competitors who reach their 15th or 16th birthday in the calendar year of the competition.
Age Group 3
Competitors who will not reach their 15th birthday in the calendar year of the competition.

b) Teams: A team is composed of four firing members who represent the same Junior Shooting Club. More than one team may represent a Junior Shooting Club; however, firing members can only participate on one sporter team (precision class is individual event only). Each team must be currently affiliated or enrolled with an organization that is a member of the National Three-Position Air Rifle Council: The American Legion, BSA-Venturing, CMP, Daisy/U. S. Jaycees Shooter Education Program, National 4-H Shooting Sports, United States Army Cadet Command (High School Division), USMC Training and Education Command and U. S. Navy Education and Training Command, etc... Each team consists of four members formally enrolled in one of the organizations listed above constitutes eligibility to compete in this match.

Categories of Air Rifle: Competitors may enter in either of two categories in the tournament based on the type of air rifle they wish to use.
a)Precision Air Rifle Category(individual only): as described in the National Standard Three-Position Air Rifle rule book.
b) Sporter Air Rifle Category(individual and team): as described in National Standard Three-Position Air Rifle Rules with the following limitations: Sights: As described in National Standard Three-Position Air Rifle rule book (Sporter) and (Precision). The sight must be factory issue for the Sporter air rifle being used. Telescopic sights are not permitted. A Precision air rifle CAN NOT be modified in any way in order for it to comply as a Sporter Air Rifle.
Course of Fire: This match will be a 3x10 competition. Ten (10) shots in each of the three (3) positions fired in the following order: prone/standing/kneeling. See page 22 in the rules for guidelines.
Clothing: All Participants will comply with the clothing guidelines specified in the National Standard Three-Position Air Rifle Rulebook.
Targets: Schools will provide their own Orion targets if possible. Clubs may request targets by emailing hmaison@ffc8.org. Orion targets will be used. Labels will not be provided and are not required. Please mark each target accordingly on the front of the target: School/Club name, shooter’s name, sporter or precision, and position fired.
Scoring: Teams may “sight score” their targets only or upload results using the Orion Virtual Match technology. Targets will not be marked or plugged. Final scoring will be done at Fountain Fort Carson High School if mailed as a postal match.
Awards:
1st through 3rd place team: Plaques based on number of entries
3 teams or more 1st Place Plaques in each category
6 teams or more 1st and 2nd Place Plaques in each category
9 teams or more 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place Plaques in each category
1st through 3rd place medals for individual overall score (Sporter and Precision)
1st through 3rd place individual medals for age group 1 thru 3(Sporter only)
1st through 3rd place individual certificates for the special age group certificates for each participant
High shooter individual team certificate; medals if over 30 teams enter in a category.
An additional award category will be added if 10 or more Canadian Cadet Corps teams enter the match.
